5 blogs to add to your list
A recent BlogHer event I attended reaffirmed the importance of community to the success of any blog. Since my move I’ve experienced firsthand the awesome population of bloggers in the city, and meeting them has given me more of an incentive to be part of the community. Today’s round-up of posts covers every part of a superbly single lifestyle—from fashion to fitness, travel to tavern. I’m lucky to have met these fabulous girls and urge you to add them to your list of blogs to follow.
Joan’s on Third | See Shop Eat Do
Of course this feature on the famous eatery had me missing L.A. immediately. A visit to Joan’s on Third feels like a break from real life… and a moment in a Nancy Meyers film. (Actually, Meryl Streep’s character’s bakery in It’s Complicated was modeled after Joan’s.) My friend Whitney captures the simplicity and charm and will make you want to stop and smell the cheese.
Travel in Style at SFO’s New AMEX Lounge | The Editorialite
I’m still getting used to the idea that SFO is now my home base. After all, most of my frequent flyer miles were accrued through travel that started and ended at LAX. However, seeing this amazing lounge from Maggie’s perspective (and remembering how luxurious Terminal 2 is), I’m ready to tap into my wanderlust again.
How To Massage Yourself With A Ball + Workouts | A Lady Goes West
I hated working out until I found barre fitness, and working in fitness has pushed me to actually try other workouts. Reading Ashley’s round-up of weekly workouts regularly is always a good inspiration for me to diversify how I work out in a week (even if it just means adding in a yoga class).
Are Those New Brass Sconces?? | A Fabulous Challenge
As I’m continuing to get settled in, seeing how Bianca styled her bedroom for an Apartment Therapy shoot is motivation enough to set aside time to get it done.
LeTotein’ Around Town | pancakeSTACKER
I’m not great at discarding, but after packing and attempting to unpack 9 years I’m feeling overwhelmed by THINGS. Retail therapy works, and LeTote seems to be a way to satisfy that craving and continually avoid buyer’s remorse because the whole point of it is to return clothing to get more. Chanda has shared more recent totes, but this post explains how it all works.
